A night in front of the fire beckons…
Met Éireann have updated their wind warning to orange for the whole country as the national forecaster predicts winds of 130hm/h.
Forecasters have said there will be southwesterly winds will gust up to 60 to 80 km/h with gusts of 100 to 130km/h in coastal areas.
Gardaí have urged road users to be cautious on the roads due to the high winds as road conditions continue to deteriorate.
We suppose we should expect it at this stage seeing as we live on a rock in the Atlantic, but sometimes we just get our hopes up that the weather will be… not raining. Is that too much to ask?
The status orange wind alert is the second highest warning alert category and means that the wind could have a significant impact on people in affected areas.
