If you take your GAA seriously, especially when the championship is in full swing during the summer months, then you’d want to have a damn good excuse for missing training.
Farm or silage-related emergencies tend to be a legitimate excuse, as are injuries to delicate areas of the anatomy that usually require little in the way of elaboration.
One anonymous GAA player in Kerry made sure to elaborate on his delicate injury when texting his manager to let him know he wouldn’t be making training recently.
Then he sent the text to the wrong number.
The recipient of the text was good enough to send it our way (he didn’t reveal the name of the sender) and though it’s a little NSFW, we got a good laugh out of it.
