PIC: Kerry lads in Chicago use Wi-Fi from a funeral home to watch the Tyrone game on a tablet

Hope they didn’t cheer too loud

Conor Heneghan

Miss a Kerry game? Over my dead body.

It’s getting easier for people abroad to watch GAA games these days, but sometimes, a little creative thinking is required to ensure fans don’t miss out on the big matches.

Kerry lads Michael McCarthy and Mick and Trevor O’Donaghue needed access to Wi-Fi so they could watch their county men take on Tyrone in the All-Ireland semi-final on Sunday and, as some of us have no doubt been guilty of in the past, they ‘borrowed’ it from another building.

This was no ordinary building, however, but the Michalik funeral home in Chicago, where the lads gathered to watch Kerry win before crowning a great day when playing for a successful Padraig Pearses outfit in the Chicago Championship Final later in the day.

These lads are dead serious about supporting Kerry, no doubt about that.

Hat-tip to Michael McCarthy for sending this one our way
