The west is set to be the worst hit area once again as country braces for 110km/h winds.
Areas predicted to be hit worst by the weekends stormy conditions have been revealed.
Winds of 110km/h are forecasted for the country as well as rainfall as heavy as 140mm in parts.
In his Tuesday evening bulletin on X, Carlow Weather Man, Alan O’Reilly flagged ‘total rainfall’ for the country on Sunday.
Weather warnings are likely to be issued across the country later this week should the forecast manifest.
Heavy rainfall of up to 140mm is expected in the southwest, with other parts of the area being hit with up to 50 or 60mm.
Just weeks following Storm Eowyn which caused severe damage to the west, the area is set to be the most affected by strong winds once again with gulfs expected to reach a high of 110km/h on Sunday.
On a better note, O’Reilly’s forecast for Friday and Saturday finally sees some sunny spells move across the country before the dull conditions return on Sunday.
