Jaysus!
New York is definitely up there with the greatest cities in the world to visit, but there won’t be too many New Yorkers or tourists stepping outside in the Big Apple today.
Why? Well, up to three feet of snow has been forecast for the city as a result of a blizzard which is currently hitting the east coast of the United States.
New York Mayor Bill de Blasio has already suggested that they could be hit with “a storm the likes of which we have never seen before” and plenty of weather forecasts have predicted historic snowstorms that will be amongst the worst ever experienced in the city.
From what we can see in this satellite image released by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, it doesn’t look good.

Fingers crossed they can get through the worst of it without too much damage.
