Guess what… Yep, those weather warnings keep on coming

There are snow and ice warnings for most of the country

There are snow and ice warnings for most of the country.

Met Eireann have issued an orange weather alert for Cavan and Monaghan this morning, while most of the rest of the country can expect wintry showers of snow and sleet throughout the day.

In other words, it’s bleedin’ freezing.

“Wintry showers will continue today. Snow accumulations up to 3 cm are likely. Higher accumulations are possible over hills and mountains,” the warning says.

This applies to Connacht, Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Donegal, Clare, Kerry and Tipperary.

So, y’know, pretty much everywhere.

Met Eireann predict snow accumulations of 3cm to 6cm, especially on higher ground, while we’re going back to bed with a Seinfeld box-set and a vat of tea.

G’luck.
