Jaysus!
Thanks to a big purple dinosaur and a friendly neighbour in The Flinstones, we had always assumed that Barney was the friendly type.
There was nothing friendly about the conditions his storm inflicted on Ireland last night, the effects of which were felt right throughout the country.
In Ballymacward in Galway, the gusts of wind were so strong that they blew a trampoline onto the roof of a house; sure the picture below might not be of the highest quality, but there’s no mistaking what’s going on.
If you thought that was bad, check out by far our favourite image from Storm Barney of a (possibly photoshopped) wheelie-bin taking flight in Meath.
