Joan Blackburn says that the chances of a White Christmas in Ireland are ‘slim’ as December temperatures stay above average for the time of year.
“Slim to zero, one should never say zero – but very slim,” said Blackburn.
“Now it is going to get a bit fresher and a little bit cooler over the weekend, but generally it’s unsettled in the lead up to Christmas – on the mild side, but not quite as mild as what we’ve had.”
