If you’re looking to make some plans for Tuesday then you might want to get yourself a 99 ice cream or some sun block because this week is set to see the hottest day of the year in Ireland.
In what’s the perfect way to beat those Monday blues, Met Éireann are predicting that the mercury will rise to around 27C on Tuesday in certain inland areas.
The hottest day of 2016 was recorded in Shannon Airport on June 8 when the temperatures reached 25.7C but conditions over the weekend are a very good projection of what Irish sun lovers could be in store for this week.
Parts of Dublin recorded highs of 26C yesterday, while others parts of the country registered temperatures between 21C and 25C. Offaly and Laois are expected to get the warmest weather tomorrow but the conditions will also be great on costal counties with temperatures ranging from 23 to 24C.
There you have it, if you’re stuck in work tomorrow then we advise you to head to the nearest park for your lunch or a decent beer garden after your shift is finished.
