Great news because parts of Ireland will be hotter than Mexico and Australia today

Paul Moore

Enjoy it while it’s here.

If you’re one of the 1,904,806 people that live in the Greater Dublin Area then you might have noticed that your commute to work was a little bit odd this morning, given how humid and sticky the weather is.

Yep, there’s no better way of describing those conditions out there because it almost feels like your clothes are stuck to you, such is the dry heat.

The advice from Met Eireann is to get out and enjoy these conditions while they last because today will be “warm and humid again today with highs of 18 to 23 degrees. Early morning rain, drizzle and mist will disappear from many places and the cloud will gradually break up with good sunshine developing in light breezes. However it will continue to remain cloudy and misty along the south and west coast and across northwestern counties occasional rain will occur throughout the day”.

In Leinster, the temperature is expected to reach highs of 20 to 23 degrees and here’s what’s expected in the other provinces; Ulster (17 -22 degrees), Munster (18 to 21 degrees) and Connacht (14 to 17 degrees)

Take a look at how Dublin’s weather this Tuesday compares to New Mexico and Sydney (although technically they’ll be in Wednesday but you get our point)

See, things aren’t so bad.

Get out and enjoy the last of the sunshine because while it’s expected to remain warm on Wednesday with plenty of the sunshine in the east, there’s also going to be some patchy rain and drizzle in the west and more persistent rain will develop throughout the evening.
