Good news because parts of Ireland will be warmer than Spain

Paul Moore

The next few days are looking well.

Spain might have brilliant footballers, snoozy siestas, terrific tapas and yearly sunshine, but today is a day when our weather can laud it over over Iberian friends. The good news doesn’t end there though because the next few days are shaping up to be pretty decent.

To begin with, today will remain dry with some hazy sunshine in the east. Take a look at Dublin’s weather conditions when compared to Madrid. In your face Cristiano Ronaldo.

It’s not all good news though because Met Eireann are predicting intermittent outbreaks of rain in the west that might spread eastwards before dying out this evening.

The forecast for tomorrow is similar with showers in the west and northwest becoming more widespread for a very brief time. However, most will be light and they’ll all die out during the afternoon, with late sunshine developing.

Saturday will be mostly dry with sunny spells throughout. Saturday night will be mild and humid with lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees.

There’s expected to be some light rain on Sunday morning but it will clear eastwards with sunny spells throughout. It’s expected to be mostly dry with good clear spells on Sunday night.
