Here’s what the weather is expected to be over the weekend

Paul Moore

Ah crap.

With a host of international matches, the FAI Cup and plenty of brand new films to watch in your cinema this weekend, you’ll be spoiled for choice but be warned, if you’re out and about, it’s probably a good idea to have an umbrella on hand.

Yep, it’s going rain. Well, this is Ireland.

Here’s what’s expected on the weather front, according to Met Éireann.

Rainfall is expected to be persistent and heavy on Saturday, especially over southeastern parts for a time this morning. Brighter and somewhat drier for a time over north Ulster but the rain will be fairly widespread this evening and early tonight, turning more showery then from the west.

Thankfully, these conditions are set to improve on Sunday morning though because the day is set for blustery and bright start.

Early morning showers will be fairly widespread but by the afternoon, these showers will mainly affect Ulster and north Connacht, though some will be heavy, and turning generally dry elsewhere.
