Dublin and surrounding counties set for a mini-heatwave

Tony Cuddihy

Just to remind you, it’s nearly October.

Temperatures in Dublin and surrounding counties are set for highs of around 23 degrees on Wednesday.

According to Met Éireann, today will be a warm, humid and breezy day in the capital.

While sunny weather is expected in the east, temperatures in the west and the north-west are only expected to get up to around 18 degrees, where it will be a dull day.

Atlantic coastal counties can expect rain but the east coast, as well as the south, should remain dry until tonight when some showers are expected.

Conditions on Thursday are expected to be a lot cool, with blustery showers forecast.
