We’ve all been feeling very sticky in the humidity recently and it’s about to get a whole lot warmer according to Met Eireann.

Temperatures are to hit 26 degrees on Wednesday which would make us hotter than Madrid. Now is the time for the Airtricity League clubs to try and attract Latin American players with our balmy warm climate!

Temperatures Soar To Highest Of The Year

Sales of fans are about to hit the roof with the news of night time humidity discomfort being set to continue, with temperatures expected to hit a ridiculous 15 degrees. Met Eireann forecaster Harm Luijkx told irishmirror.ie: “There’s a bit of sunshine, but that’s not the main story. The air is going to be very warm and humid, so there’s going to be a lot of cloud. It won’t necessarily be sunny all the time.”

“But what it does mean is that temperatures will still be reaching the mid-20s in some areas, throughout the whole week in the afternoon. Nights especially are going to be very close and humid, with temperatures staying above 15C in many areas for most of the week.”

The UK Enjoys The Warm Autumn Sun

He explained: “It’s a flow of very warm air, coming from southern tropical regions. They are warm at the moment and that air is stirred up towards Ireland from the South. At the same time, because it’s coming from the sea, there’s a lot of cloud in it and that makes the night very humid and warm.”

He went on to say, “What will happen is that the Eastern half of the country will see a lot of dry weather, at least for the first few days, probably for all of the week. But the western half of the country will have some heavy rain at times. On Thursday and Friday there’s a chance of thunderstorms, with Western areas most at risk.”

So there you have it lads, it’s going to get hot and sticky round here.
