Not all bad news, we’re going to get at least some sun this week

Carl Kinsella

Met Éireann have forecasted pretty grim weather for the next week, but there will be a few moments of sunshine to ease the pain.

According to their report, Monday will mostly fluctuate between drizzle and full-on rain with a light breeze. Tuesday is expected to come with patchy rain and drizzle with sunny spells “developing”.

The best news is saved for Wednesday, where most of the country is expected to remain dry – with Met Éireann describing the day as ‘dry in many areas, with some bright or sunny spells in parts of the east and south.’ Sounds good.

Thursday and Friday don’t sound too awful either, given that we are now probably past the tail-end of the summer – “cool and fresh with a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers, some of the showers heavy, especially in the west and north. Max. 14 to 16 or 17.”

So there you have it. Stay indoors until Wednesday and then make the most of the sunny spells you get.
