Okay, it might be a water spout but spare a thought for everyone at the races
Posted on the Galway Advertiser’s Facebook page, this picture, which they claim was taken in Salthill today, is a pretty scary one.
Tornadoes were forecasted as being a possibility today and this is the first picture of what looks like a twister. Folks on the Galway Advertsier’s Facebook page reckon it’s just a waterspout, a phenomenon where a spinning column of water vapour connects from a cloud to the surface of the sea,but it is still a pretty class picture.
We hope all those tents at the Galway Races are big enough for everyone to get into as that sky does not look good…
UPDATE: We have been told that the picture was originally taken by David Lambe and appeared on the GMIT Facebook page first…
