There’s good news and there’s bad news.
The good news: It’s going to be settled, mostly dry, with no snow.
The bad news: It’s going to be very, very cold, but there won’t be any snow.
Yeah, we know we predicted some snowfall earlier this week, but we don’t make the weather. We just report what we know at the time, and this weekend is going to get fairly Baltic over Ireland.
Widespread ground frost is expected, with Sunday and Monday particularly cold. Dry conditions are expected all weekend, apart from a few showers over northern and western counties.
Temperatures will drop to -1 on Sunday night, while nighttime temperatures on Monday could go as low as -2.
Friday night will be dry and clear, with similar conditions on Saturday before the cold properly takes over.
