The coming week doesn’t look too much better, either…
Get the heating on.
Get the slankets out.
Don’t open any windows or doors, you’re letting all the heat out!
Yep, we’re officially into the minus temperatures tonight.
Not just “freezing point”, full-on negative numbers. Proper see-your-breath weather.
Met Éireann‘s forecast tells us that it will be “Cold and mostly clear tonight with a widespread ground frost and the risk of icy patches. Some mist and fog inland later too. Lowest temperatures -2 to +3°C.”
Grim.
And the rest of the week isn’t looking too much better.
Monday night will see temperatures dropping to zero, while Tuesday and Wednesday will be slightly warmer, but bringing a lot of rain and wind with them.
Thursday will actually see temperatures get up as high as 16 degrees again, so… maybe don’t pack away your middling jumpers just yet? Keep both your middle jumpers and your super-warm jumpers to hand.
That would be a good way to do the weather, wouldn’t it? If the meteorologist simply told us what level of jumper each day until winter is over, that would be perfect.
