While some showers will remain, next week is looking a lot less wet.
Winter is coming, but it’s looking like the nice version with lots of sunny spells and a good, clean, crisp nip in the air.
Met Eireann have revealed that the heavy rain that struck the country last week and into this weekend is coming to an end, while temperatures are set to plummet towards the end of next week.
“It’s going to be much drier than it has been this past week, although we will still be prone to the odd shower,” a Met Eireann forecaster told Independent.ie.
“There is a continuing risk of showers, particularly on the South and East coast and there will be some rain in the south later on Wednesday.
“The second half of the week will be much the same thing but perhaps cooler. Temperatures will be around 9 to 11 degrees at the start of the week but after Wednesday they will drop more.
“Next Sunday it might get more cooler but there’s no sign of any severely cold weather to come.”
