Anyone else remember a time before weather warnings?
The blissful ignorance of not knowing that there was a sheet of heavy rain about to envelop the country. Happier times.
Anyway, Met Éireann say that a yellow weather warning will remain in place all day, with Munster and Leinster particularly badly effected. It won’t be as bad in Ulster and Connacht, with only occasional outbreaks.
The rain is expected to die out this evening, although dreams of a Friday night beer garden will have to wait for at least another week.
