Crap.
Met Éireann have extended the status yellow rainfall warning that was issued this morning to seven more counties.
If you’re living in Cork, Clare, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Waterford, Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Wexford, Wicklow or Offaly, it’s best to have the umbrella at hand.
That’s because conditions in those counties are expected to see “heavy rain at times with amounts of 25 to 35 mm possible and a risk of localised flooding.”
This particular warning is valid from Saturday, 28 September at 17:00 until Sunday, 29 September at 07:00.
In terms of today’s forecast, heavy rain is set to develop in south Munster during the afternoon and these conditions will spread northwards over Munster, Leinster and Connacht this evening.
There’s also a risk of flooding.
As for tonight, persistent rain will extend up over Ulster. The rain will become lighter and more showery during the night and will clear from the western half of the country by morning.
Sunday morning will start off mostly cloudy with some rain and drizzle but brighter, sunnier conditions will extend from the west to all areas by early afternoon.
There’ll be some scattered showers, mainly in Ulster.
Weather Alert for Rainfall.
